Double Run Spring is located about 1.0 mile north of Howey Heights, to the west of County Road 561 and south of Double Run Road. The spring pool for Double Run Spring has not been mapped and the following is the estimated location of the spring pool.

The spring is located on private property and permission must be obtained from the landowner prior to visiting the spring.

Double Run Spring is a 3rd magnitude spring that discharges in a swampy area. As of September 2008 the spring pool had not been located due to thick underbrush and a private owner. Currently sample and flow measurements are taken at the culvert where the run flows under Double Run Road. After flowing under the road the run flows 1.25 miles northwest into the south end of Little Lake Harris.

Double Run Spring is assumed to be a Florida aquifer spring based on the chemistry of the water.

The spring is undeveloped.
