Moccasin Springs is located in the Seminole State Forest about 3.5 miles southeast of Cassia.


Moccasin Springs is a 4th magnitude spring forming a pool of clear water 40 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 3 feet deep. The pebble strewn vent is roughly 1 foot in diameter. The pool bottom is sand and a prominent boil is visible. Abundant detritus is in and around the spring pool and run.

The run is approximately 9 feet wide, 1 foot deep, and flows east into Blackwater Creek. The surrounding environment is heavily forested with hardwoods, palms, and palmettos.


The spring is undeveloped. Nearby is a camping area for visitors of the Seminole State Forest.
