Online event registration for the Wings and Wildflowers Festival now available
TAVARES – As the Wings and Wildflowers Festival rapidly approaches, those who wish to take part in the festivities can now register online to attend events. The festival will be held Sept. 28-30, with many of the workshops, presentations and demonstrations being held at Hickory Point Park, located at 27341 State Road 19 in Tavares, and several field- trips and events also scheduled at key wildlife viewing areas throughout the County.
The weekend-long festival is filled with over 100 scheduled events and activities. Online registration allows festival-goers to conveniently browse event times, descriptions and locations, view the availability of events and even make secure payments for events requiring a registration fee.
The list of events includes everything from wildlife photography hikes and guided kayak trips to bird watching expeditions and expert speakers. James Currie, host of the popular adventure birding television show, Nikon’s Birding Adventures, which airs on NBC Sports, will be the event’s keynote speaker.
