Wekiva River Watershed

In 1941 Messant Spring was the center of logging activity in the Wekiva Basin. This can be seen by the many tent houses and railway lines near the spring. There are few signs of this activity today and many of the railway tram lines have been removed and restored to natural grade.  1941.
